Community Guidelines

Our online community and in-person meet-ups are not a space for language, behaviour, or attitudes that are racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, Islamophobic, ableist, or classist. Harassment and discrimination will not be tolerated. If you are experiencing, or have experienced, any of the above from an IntersectTO group member, you can contact one of the group admins on Facebook (or if you prefer, via email at intersectto@gmail.com) and we will work within our capacity to address the situation.

We believe victims of harassment and assault when they share their experiences. If someone comes forward sharing an experience of harassment from a fellow community member, we will work within our capacity to address their needs and ensure that IntersectTO can continue being a safer space for them. In some cases, this may look like removal of the harasser from in-person community events, the Facebook group and the Slack team.

Note: We hope that our online communities can be a safer, dedicated online space for BIPOCs to share experiences and resources. Please request to join the Facebook group or Slack team only if you identify as Black, Indigenous, or as a person of colour.
